BenevolentAI is a London-based drug-discovery company founded in 2013 (originally as Stratified Medical) that pioneered the use of an AI-powered biomedical knowledge graph for target identification and R&D. The Benevolent Platform integrates a comprehensive knowledge graph and proprietary ontologies with AI predictive tools to help scientists identify and validate novel drug targets. The company went public on Euronext Amsterdam in April 2022 via a SPAC merger valuing it at about EUR 1.5 billion, but delisted and returned to private ownership through a merger with Osaka Holdings in March 2025. Since going private it has refocused toward modular, standalone AI products that pharma partners can integrate into specific R&D workflow stages.
