Industrial AILondonSeries A

Gigaton

Gigaton (formerly Carbon Re), a UCL and University of Cambridge spinout founded in 2020, develops AI-driven control software that continuously optimizes heavy industrial plant operations and is designed to replace the underlying control stack rather than sit on top of it. It targets cement, steel, glass and chemicals producers, with deployments including Adani Cement, Heidelberg Materials, Holcim and Mannok. The company claims $1-3M in annual operational savings and up to 30,000 tonnes of CO2 reduction per site. In June 2026 it raised a $26M Series A led by Plural, bringing total funding above $35M, and plans to grow its team fivefold.
