Luminance

Luminance is a legal-AI platform that uses machine learning to review, draft, and negotiate contracts, applying a proprietary 'Panel of Judges' model architecture to automate contract workflows. Founded in 2015 by Cambridge academics and originally backed by the late Mike Lynch's Invoke Capital, it is headquartered in London with a Cambridge R&D base. In February 2025 it raised a $75M Series C led by Point72 Private Investments, bringing total funding to over $115M. The company serves more than 700 clients across 70+ countries, including AMD, Hitachi, Rolls-Royce, and Lamborghini.
