Meta

Meta operates FAIR (Fundamental AI Research), the research division behind its AI work, with one of its international sites in London's King's Cross alongside labs in Paris, Tel Aviv and Zurich. The London site is known for research in 3D computer vision, knowledge-intensive and multilingual natural language processing, and reinforcement learning. It has an academic partnership with UCL, including a PhD programme that lets students split time between the university and Meta. As a division of publicly listed Meta Platforms, it is funded internally rather than through venture rounds. FAIR feeds research into Meta's broader AI products including the open-source Llama model family.
