PolyAI builds human-like voice AI agents that handle customer service phone calls for large enterprises, resolving high-volume interactions in industries such as hospitality, travel, financial services, healthcare and retail. Founded in 2017 by Cambridge machine-learning researchers Nikola Mrksic, Pei-Hao Su and Tsung-Hsien Wen, it serves over 100 enterprise clients including Marriott, Caesars Entertainment, UniCredit and PG&E. Its voice agents are designed to sound natural and handle complex, multi-turn conversations. A $86M Series D in December 2025, co-led by Georgian, Hedosophia and Khosla Ventures, took total funding past $200M at a $750M valuation.
