SAMMY Labs
SAMMY Labs is building a foundation model for computational law that resolves regulatory and compliance questions by modelling the structure of legal authority itself, aiming to make every answer deterministic, interpretable and auditable down to the specific words of a statute. The approach targets legal and compliance use cases where black-box LLM answers are not trustworthy enough. Founded in 2024 by Joe Savidge and Shav Vimalendiran, the team is split across San Francisco and London and went through Y Combinator's W25 batch, raising pre-seed funding from investors including Y Combinator and Pioneer Fund.
