Unbody

Unbody is a modular, developer-focused backend stack for building AI-native software, positioning itself as 'the Supabase of the AI era.' It ingests content from varied sources such as text, images, audio and video and turns it into an intelligent backend with vector search, generative Q&A, reranking and automatic enhancements like summaries, topic extraction and entity detection, so developers can ship AI features without managing complex infrastructure. It is available both as open source and as a hosted cloud service and is built on top of the Weaviate vector database. The company was founded in 2023 (with roots in a 2016 headless-CMS project) by Amir Houieh and Hossein Mehrabi and is based in Amsterdam. Public funding details are limited, with an early angel round reported.
