Xylo

Xylo is a govtech AI workspace for local-government planning officers that automates the administrative work around planning applications, validating submissions, checking against policy, collating responses and drafting reports so officers can focus on professional judgement. Councils using it, including Leeds City Council, report roughly a 40% increase in applications processed per officer and an 83% improvement in accuracy, with the platform developed after more than 300 hours working alongside practising officers. Founded in 2024 and based in London, it raised £2.8M in pre-seed funding led by CapitalT, with angels from DeepMind, Gensyn and Dawn Capital.
